Fall Lacrosse 2018

Dates:

September 16, 23, 30

October 7th - Holiday Weekend (No Fall Lacrosse)

October 14, 21, 28

(Rainout Date November 4th)

Time:  1:00pm to 5:30pm

(1 hour & 25 min blocks per division)

Location:  Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex


Equipment Provided on a 1st come/1st serve basis!

(equipment is available each Sunday for pick up prior to your session.  All equipment must

be returned at the end of your session each Sunday).

Available equipment includes;

Boys:   lacrosse sticks, lacrosse pads (shoulder & arm), gloves & helmet

Girls:  lacrosse sticks, girl's goggles (limited supply)

Mandatory equipment you must purchase;

Boys & Girls must have solid colored mouthguards 

Boys must have an athletic cup

Cleats are recommended for boys & girls (no steel spikes due to artificial turf)

*Fee includes a $30 US Lacrosse membership for all NEW PLAYERS.


Participation Requirements for returning players All returning players must be US Lacrosse Members to participate in Fall Lacrosse.  US Lacrosse Youth Membership is $30.  US Lacrosse Membership dues are paid directly to US Lacrosse.  Please click HERE for US Lacrosse member information.   A membership may be renewed or purchased through the GBYLA registration process.


Fall Lacrosse Cancelation Policy:  There is a 6% cancelation fee for all requests prior to the 2nd session of season play.  No refunds will be issued after two (2) Sunday sessions have been completed.

8U September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2012 
10U September 1, 2008 - August 31, 2010
12U September 1, 2006 - August 31, 2008

Cancelation / Refund Policy:

There is a 6% cancelation fee for refund requests occuring prior to the 2nd session.  NO refunds will be issued after two (2) fall lacrosse sessions have been completed.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Fall Lacrosse:

What are the age cutoffs?   Our age cutoff date on or after September 1st.  Division age cutoffs can be found on the Fall Lacrosse or Spring Season Program tabs.

How much does it cost?  $135 all six (6) sessions.  A $30 US Lacrosse yearly membership is included for all new players (never having played lacrosse before).

When are practices?  No practice, just show up at your scheduled division time on Sunday ready to play.

When are games?  Games will be played once basic lacrosse skills have been mastered.  All players will participate in a clinic format.

Where is Fall Lacrosse played?   Sicard Hollow Athletic Complex.  

Will my son or daughter be playing with friends from their school?  Fall Lacrosse is non community specific.

How is my son or daughter placed on a team?  Format is clinic based, no teams.  

My son/daughter is new to lacrosse, is this a good time to start?  YES!  Fall is the perfect time to try out the sport to see if you like it. 

How long is a game/session?  90 minutes.

What is the game/session schedule?  The game & division schedules are determined once registration closes and we know how many players we have.  This occurs approximately one week prior to the start of play.

Do I need to buy equipment & how much does it cost?  We have loaner equipment available on a first come/first serve basis at the field for both boys & girls.  ALL players are required to have cleats (no baseball cleats) & a mouth guard as well as an athletic cup (boys only).  Purchasing equipment can run from $135 to $185 for boys & $25 - $60 for girls. 

What should my son/daughter wear for fall lacrosse?  Athletic shorts & t-shirt are fine.  Your player will receive a reversible pinney to bring each Sunday.
